My name is Venkat C. I am a software developer with 25+ years’ experience writing, testing, debugging, deploying and supporting code – device drivers, system infrastructure code, network applications, automation scripts, productivity scripts, application software.

I spent the better part of the last 20 years working as an engineer at Cisco Systems, writing code for IOS routers and switches.

I now do freelance work, and maintain a GitHub repository of code – mostly Python code doing network-y things.

I live in Bangalore, India.

Here’s a portfolio of things I’ve done for people, as a freelancer.

Here are links to a few articles I’ve written in the past, some of which people seem to find quite interesting, if Google Analytics is to be believed.

This page describes some of the stuff I have on GitHub.

My blog – mostly little notes about things I’ve discovered when writing code, and a few random thoughts on things.

One day I am going to create software that will change the world – for now I’ve just written them down here.

About me: what I do, what I’ve done in the past, how to talk to me and so forth.
